Eye damage by a exercise partner's fingernail;
Jane, female Karate Instructor.
This accident occurred during a training session. Her eye was punctured by a combat partners fingernail; she was bleeding profusely from the eye.
Her treatment took place 1 hour after the accident, during which the swelling reduced and the bleeding was arrested within half an hour. The only evidence of damage was a small area of broken vessels to the white of her eye.
She had twice daily treatment for 4 days; on the 4th day all damage and injury had healed, with no evidence whatsoever of scarring or bruising.
However, she continued treatment for a further week as the ageing process - previously evident, beneath and around the damaged eye had also vanished - and as a part-time actress we had to rejuvenate the un-damaged eye to match.
